John Muddeman

A naturalist at heart, John has been watching birds since before he can remember, while also always maintaining a keen interest in many other aspects of the natural world, particularly the field identification and conservation of reptiles and amphibians, dragonflies, butterflies and moths, mammals and flora.

John is based in cenral Spain, and is a highly experienced and capable birding Tour Leader. He quickly learned Spanish after moving permanently to central Spain in 1997. Numerous trips to Extremadura from the beginning culminated in the publication of "A birdwatching guide to Extremadura" in 2000, leading to him being elected as an honorary member of the regional guiding association, GUIDEX. Following this he has guided extensively across the country, throughout the seasons. John is very much looking forward to your company!
